The course
Racing is on Special Olympics Course 4: start, windward mark A, leeward gate C, back to A, C again, then finish. All marks are rounded to port.
The Race Committee sets the course length and the number of laps on the day, and may shorten or adjust the course depending on wind and conditions.
Racing format
A divisioning series on Saturday, finals on Sunday. Scores from divisioning do not carry forward. Maximum four races per day, first warning signal at 10:00.
Races are umpired under Appendix UF. Protests are made by hailing, no protest flag is needed.
The boat: Valk
All racing is in Valk keelboats with Level III Unified crews. Stable, safe and equal for every team: it is the sailing that decides, not the equipment.
