Opening & Torch Run
The regatta opens in true Special Olympics style: with the flame.
Friday evening, 18:00 to 19:30
The opening ceremony marks the official start of three days of Unified sailing. It ends with the Torch Run: the flame arrives at the Kralingse Plas and is lit for the regatta.
The Torch Run is a Special Olympics tradition. The Law Enforcement Torch Run arrives with the flame around 18:00, and around 18:45 the Flame of Hope is lit. See Opening Night for the times at a glance.
